... never ever buy a PC via Internet.
As you may saw, I wasn't too active with my artwork recently. It's not that I am missing or too busy, I am still visiting, faving and commenting on your awesome work. But. My home PC went dead about 4 months ago. As it is still under warranty, I send it to my vendor, hoping the faulty motherboard would be replaced and all would be working again. My younger sister, Laina, was kind enough to borrow me her old PC while I waited for repairs. It was not a speed lord, a Pentium IV with GeForce 6600 but was sufficient to be online from time to time and watch some movie every now and then. It was absolutely not sufficient to do any power-consuming art like 3D or even continue with my work I had to do. I just treated that extra free time as vacation, hoping it would be only few weeks delay for my work.
After more than 2 months my PC returned from vendor. I was happy for about 5 minutes, until I found out that motherboard was not replaced but soldering was tried instead. It was still not working and it managed to fuse the GPU as well. I reopened warranty ticked and send PC back. My friend, Sephirioth, was kind enough to borrow me his notebook with fresh hard drive, so I could catch up with my remote work project. I really don't know where I would be if he would not helped.
Unfortunately I had to return this computer to him few weeks ago, leaving me computerless again, in the midst of my veeery delayed work. Fortunately, my PC returned from repairs just two weeks later. Guess What? It was broken again! Together with Sephirioth we replaced thermal grease on CPU (as warranty repairs obviously mess that up - with temperatures skyrocking to 95'C on CPU during boot) and we went to crazy diagnostics mode only to find out that through motherboard and RAM is okay, the GPU is still fused and BSoDing during boot up. I just reopened ticked for GPU and sent it back for yet another two months (or so). I put my sister's GPU (GeForce 6600, PCI compatible) in it's place, so I do have computer to work for, but with so little rendering power I am unable to do critical elements of my work or any 3D art. Not to mention that my work is seriously delayed and it's about to reach catastrophe in two weeks time. Seriously, what the fuck...
On the more bright side... Kidding. There is no bright side.
The amount of stress I had encountered in the past months, especially related to my work, has wreck havoc on my health and (combined with my doctor's pretty serious mistake during treatment) resulted in recurrence of the disease I was striving with. It's bad, it's very painful with little to no relief and I am really tired of fighting on.
Please understand that the artwork I owe you will be delayed even more...
