WATCH FULL-QUALITY ON YOUTUBE (Including Making-of): [link]

I am proud of myself! :D I wanted to create such scene for few years but I was lacking the skills and experience. But I eventally realised my dream :XD:

I know some of you will ask me why this is so short. I'll answer that for me it's way too long, as rendering time was insane long. I doubt if I will make anything that large soon :)

The 3d model of monster elfs are facing comes from some free tutorial of Collada tools I found over net. I don't know it source, trough.

Some facts:
+ Elfs are carring swords, but due to motion blur their blades are almost invisible. Look at elf at the mostleft when monsters crash onto chargers - she hacks one of the beast out with her weapon.

+ Scene has 47 frames originaly, which was reduced by half into GIF.

+ The original (Youtube) version had 30 FPS, while GIF has only 10 FPS, so GIF is about 30% longer than original shot.

+ The total rendering time exceeded 55 hours. It's more than 2,5 full days and is absolutely the longest and most complicated rendering I've ever done.

+ When rendering was almost done I discovered that I accidentaly disabled Light Gathering Pass before it started. This was fortunate, as it would have minimal visual impact on overall effect, but it would greatly enlarge rendering time.

+ The renderer I used get highest priority in system and used 100% of power of my both cores of my CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo). Imagine what would happen if for more than two days even mouse cursor would be very laggy in your home computer.

+ I was worried about heat, as it is really warm in Poland and my rendering machine was laptop. Fortunate everything went smoothly, altrough when ending the computer was really... HOT.

+ The scene contains 6.8 milions of polygons and about 200 biped based characters (usually CPU begin to choke, when the last value exceed 10).

+ As this is VERY complicated scene, I was really scared when I hit "render" button. I was surprised when I found out that rendering consumed only 1,5 GB of RAM. I expected rather "out of memory!" error.
